Taxes & Duties

Domestic Orders

For all orders shipped within the United States, GenZGifts collects sales tax where legally required. The applicable tax rate is based on the delivery address and will be displayed at checkout before the completion of your order.

International Orders

International orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. These charges are typically due once the shipment reaches the recipient’s country.

Understanding Import Fees

  • Customs Duty and Import Taxes: Customs duty and import taxes are set by the destination country. The amount may vary depending on the value of your order, the country to which the order was shipped, and other factors based on the product itself.
  • Collection of Fees: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility and will typically be collected by the shipping provider or when you pick the item up. Please do not confuse these charges for additional shipping charges.
  • Value Added Tax (VAT): For shipments to countries that apply VAT, the amount of VAT varies by country and may be applied on top of the customs duties.

Responsibilities and Compliance

As a customer, it is important to be aware that you are responsible for ensuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from GenZGifts, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.

Additional Information

We recommend contacting your local customs office for more information on the current charges, as these policies vary widely from country to country. Please note that customs clearance procedures may cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.
